"Drawn to founders building in polarizing categories."

How did you end up in Berlin?

I grew up in a small village in Saarland , but always knew I wanted to live and work in a big city (I somehow thought it would be like living in a sitcom like Friends). During my internship at Zalando, I fell in love with Berlin and its startup bubble, so I moved here in the middle of my Master’s with two boxes and a suitcase – and never left.

Why did you become an Investment Manager?

After almost four years working in operational roles at startups, always closely alongside founders, I wanted to see the other side of the table – while staying close to founders. Today, my days are filled with screening pitch decks, coffee dates and events – and somehow I get to call that “work”.

What advice would you give to a founder looking to start a company?

Spend less time on LinkedIn. It’s a shitshow 🙂
