It optimises the flow of goods from the port to the warehouse, factoring in penalty fees (demurrage and detention, "D&D"), capacities and delivery promises. Through an intuitive dashboard with real-time data on container location, status and impending D&D charges, importers can prioritise shipments, optimise goods flows and keep delivery promises — preventing multi-million-euro penalty costs and late deliveries. Northbound's AI also automatically flags incorrect invoices, enabling disputes on up to 20 percent of all invoices.
