Berlin, December 12, 2024 - Berlin-based startup ARC Intelligence, a provider of AI-powered data platforms for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs), has announced the successful closing of its €1 million pre-seed funding round from well-known investors 468 Capital and IBB Ventures.
A New Way to Interact with Data
ARC Intelligence provides a unified solution that integrates all aspects of data handling - from collection and cleansing to real-time analysis - all in one platform. This "single source of truth" empowers SMEs to make data-driven decisions, address complex operational challenges and significantly increase efficiency. Designed for non-technical users relying on natural language, its intuitive interface enables seamless analysis and simulation, saving valuable time and streamlining processes. Exemplary user questions include:
- What is the operating margin of our recently released product? Extract insights from ERP systems to monitor product profitability and take timely actions.
- When should we reorder material to avoid production delays while minimizing storage costs? Link CRM, ERP, and spreadsheet data to predict reorder points and minimize delays and storage costs.
- Are there currently any industry trends that we are overlooking as a company? Utilize external data sources to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
"Our mission is to empower SMEs with the most advanced AI tools, which were previously only available to large enterprises. With ARC, SMEs can tackle their biggest challenges from a data perspective and make informed decisions without being dependent on specialized teams or complex infrastructure.", says Clemens Wessendorff, CEO and co-founder of ARC Intelligence.
Getting SMEs ready for the future
"In today's data-driven world, companies that adopt data-centric decision-making are more profitable and more productive than their competitors. We want to make sure that SMEs can benefit from this advantage.", adds Simon Zimmermann, CTO and co-founder of ARC Intelligence.
The platform is particularly attractive to companies looking to optimize operations and uncover hidden costs. Early implementations of ARC's solution have shown potential savings of €350,000 in DataOps expenses. Existing users have also experienced up to 75% faster reporting. SMEs such as DR. KADE, a German pharmaceutical company, and Network Factory in Berlin are already using ARC's technology.
"ARC Intelligence fits perfectly with our vision to drive the necessary transformation of SMEs through data.", said Emanuel Pallua, Partner at 468 Capital. "From our initial discussions, it was very clear that ARC combines the tech expertise with a deep understanding of the challenges SMEs are facing. Their platform provides a unique solution for data-driven decision-making without the typical infrastructure burden. We're excited to support ARC in building a sustainable success story in the SME sector."
"Clemens and Simon have built an impressive data platform that meets SMEs where they are today.", add Cindy Beckel and Tobias Schimmelpfennig of IBB Ventures. “The retirement wave of the boomer generation will lead to a generational change in the management of SMEs in the coming years and will require an uplift in productivity due to the increasingly pressing shortage of skilled labour. Solutions like ARC Intelligence's will play a key role here”.
The new funding will allow ARC Intelligence to further develop its platform and integrate additional features, enabling SMEs to focus on their core competencies while automating and optimizing processes. The investment underlines the confidence of leading investors such as 468 Capital and IBB Ventures in ARC's potential to deliver an affordable and scalable all-in-one data processing and analytics solution for SMEs.
